About

I am an Artist, Teacher, Art Consultant, and Writer in Albuquerque, NM.

I teach painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, and 3-dimensional projects. Many of the projects I teach use recycled or reused materials.

In my own art I work primarily with the vintage materials that I find in resale shops and at estate sales. My work incorporates the idealized images of advertisements, album covers, dress patterns, and magazines from the 1950’s, ‘60’s, and ‘70’s.

As an Art Consultant I coordinate exhibitions at Flying Star restaurants and Satellite coffee shops. There are eight locations that get new art every three months so I coordinate two to three shows each month.

I write regularly on, and am an administrator for Albuquerque’s community blog dukecityfix.com where I write about local art, my garden, and whatever else strikes my fancy. I write occasionally for Albuquerque the Magazine where I profile local creative professionals.
